Notes: For reasons unknown it took five years for this film to reach Australia, by which point Robert Mitchum was now a star. By releasing it through the Lyceum and then splashing wide (mostly paired with Miss Grant Takes Richmond)  Hoyts wasted the potential of this  well-reviewed film. Non-Hoyts houses took little interest in booking it.
