Notes: 267 EF points and a ranking of 75th would seem like an above par outing for any film, but this high profile MGM melodrama was a noted failure upon domestic release and here had to be buffeted with a suburban support feature (The Mutineers) as well as reduced to a number of Saturdays and (gasp!) Tuesdays on the Independent circuit. What may seem natural for a regular film was ignominious for a glossy MGM flick.
