Notes: It would have seemed that this drama, about the difficulties an African American faces in moving up in the US might have been too hot a potato for Hoyts to handle, which would explain why they gave it to the Savoy to screen in the CBD. However, after it played for thirteen weeks there the chain was prepared to provide it with 9 weeks and 34 Saturdays from 57 engagements (15th overall) including 57 top billings (8th overall). To land with 327 EF points (50th overall) was a remarkable achievement and kudos to Hoyts and its audience for getting it there,
