Notes: An expensive British drama, loosely based on the true story of a plane crash upon a glacier and the rescue of its passengers, this film flopped in the UK and Hoyts took no chances with it in Melbourne, designating it a support in the city and, other than a single top-billing, it continued as such in the suburbs, mostly to the comedy Mother is a Freshman. The 1.73 PPE was on par with the cheapest Republic B-westerns.
