NOTES: This gloomy but well made noir was never likely to find a wide audience and Hoyts were happy to palm it off to the Australia cinema for its city dates (a mere fortnight at that arthouse). Subsequent engagements were mostly Tuesday supports for Passport to Pimlico. It had the unenviable achievement of one of the lowest PPE of any 1950 suburban release.
